Kane Gough is a Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with adults with a variety of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma and personality disorders. He has worked in both community and acute mental health care settings. Kane uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as his main treatment modalities, and brings warmth and enthusiasm to each of these therapy styles.
Kane favours a collaborative, trauma-informed approach with a focus on working alongside people to overcome challenges and to achieve their goals. Kane has a strong interest in neurodiversity-affirming mental health; he provides assessments for adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Kane completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at RMIT University. He is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia with an endorsed area of practice in Clinical Psychology. Kane is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as well as Psychologists for Peace and is registered to provide services under Medicare. Kane is also an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
