Shaznin is a clinical psychologist who has worked with a range of clients across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds. She has worked in private clinics, acute hospital settings and aged care.
Shaznin has a gentle, empathic manner and likes to ensure that her clients feel a sense of authentic support. She has a special interest in working with clients who present with grief, adjustment, trauma, burnout, anxiety and depression. She also has a particular interest in providing therapy and a safe space to discuss cross cultural challenges such as migration, racism, adjustment, navigating cultural identity and unlearning generational trauma patterns.
Shaznin uses evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to assist clients with their therapeutic goals. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and person-centred, and she blends authenticity and warmth in all of her work.
Shaznin has completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist with a Clinical Psychology Endorsement, and is a Medicare provider.
Shaznin’s hours are:
Wednesdays 3.30pm to 6.30pm
Thursdays 10am to 6pm
Fridays 9am to 5pm
